Seriously Exciting MTA Improvements and Opportunities
Here at MTA, progression has now become a key word. With so many talented players at all levels, we need to ensure you all meet your full potential.
Based at Hills Road (indoor) and Impington Village College (outdoor), we are starting specific training sessions this weekend aimed at those playing representative tennis - please click for PDF with dates and times.
From these sessions, squads will be chosen in mid-Jan to represent MTA in local and national leagues. All players chosen will be invited to attend a free session on Saturday 13th February from 2-3.30pm.
Extra practises and training sessions - subsidised by MTA - will be scheduled to start after February mid-term break on Saturday 27th February.
Those making the most effort will have first choice on joining our exciting programmes eg. the MTA Wimbledon Trip, an MTA visit to Paris for the French Open, and the annual MTA Tennis Tour to Portugal (Dates now confirmed for the 2010 trip to Portugal –Wednesday 31st March – Sunday 4th April).
If you are interested in any of the above please contact Mike on 07702 291 099

While children like to be competitive, years of experience has shown Mike that not all of them enjoy the conventional format of competitive tennis. Mike’s new concept - Tennis Explosion! - gives a far wider range of players and pupils the chance to compete against each other in small teams using fun games as the format (most of which the children already know from their lessons) without the intimidating environment of conventional matches.
We have chosen our very best and most exciting games and put them together into Tennis Explosion! for all levels of pupils.
Our NEXT Tennis Explosion! tournament date is Sunday 18th April just after the Easter Holiday Camps. This will be a great way for children to come along and practise all those fun games they’ve just learnt with their new and existing friends and to play with children who attend MTA courses in other venues and/or those who have not been able to join the camp.
For information about taking part, please contact Mike on 07702 291099 or email michaellipschitz246@btinternet.com
